Family donates building to Ekiti hospital

The Ogunruku family of Ido-Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State has donated a six-bedroom apartment to Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti, to immortalise one of its members, Ifelola Aina-Ogunruku.

Spokesman of the family and former Registrar of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Mr Ayorinde Ogunruku, said that the late Aina-Ogunruku, who was an employee of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, died as a bachelor 10 years ago.

Ogunruku said:

“The structure was put in place from the death benefit paid by EFCC. The apartment will provide shelter for relatives of patients in the hospital. The family unanimously agreed to immortalise Aina-Ogunruku who died as a bachelor”.

A press statement by the Head, FETHI Corporate Affairs, Francis Bank-Akinnuoye, the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi, who took delivery of the building on behalf of the hospital’s board and management, said:
