The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, has thrown his weight behind Vice President Yemi Osibanjo.
Osinbajo seeks to succeed his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari, in 2023.
He is running on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) which boasts of other credible candidates.
But Oba Lekan Balogun appears to have made up his mind: Osinbajo would get the party’s ticket and be elected president come 2023.
“Very soon, hopefully, in God’s name, you will be President of Nigeria,” the revered monarch has declared.
