Plastic surgery was almost as taboo as having kids outside wedlock back then. Things have since changed as going under the knife is almost the same as changing your clothes.
Today, several celebrities not only go under the knife but proudly speak on the body-altering procedures. What many have forgotten though is there are a few celebrities, who fought the good fight years back and cleared the way for these set to even speak.
Here are 3 of such queens;
Karen Igho
Karen Igho made history in 2011 after emerging the winner of the Big Brother Africa reality TV show. While on the show, Karen opened up about her ”breast enhancement surgery” which according to her aided in the advancement of her finances.
Safe for some minor roles, a DSTv endorsement deal in 2018 and another minor role in Hollywood drama series ”And Just Like That,” I dare say, the $200,000 won alongside Wendell Robert Parson from Zimbabwe from the show could have worked more magic than the breast augumentations.
Tonto Dikeh
She lives for the drama now! In 2017, Tonto had eyes popping and tails wagging after she affirmed having gone under the knife for a more prominent hips and backside. Not one to shy away from drama, the mom of one went on to share clips of herself on the table as surgeons prepared to operate on her. She has since gone under the knife twice now. Tonto since undergoing surgeries, disappeared from the movie scenes only to appear in a Tchidi Chikere directed movie ”Bergers Children” 4 years later.
Toke Makinwa
There is a huge resemblance between this new Toke and Youtube star Grace Ajilore. Should we say Toke is spending so much money to look like Grace or… Toke Makinwa has continued to show-off her nicely sculpted body and face and has on several occasions spoken about undergoing surgeries to alter her looks. In a recent social media post, the media personality again revisited reasons for going under the knife saying; “When I hear that “she went under the knife to impress men” comment, sorry to disappoint you boo, I love how I look in clothes . Boys can wait ✌️”
