Uzoamaka Ohiri sat down with GoldMyne TV to tell her side of the story in the controversy surrounding her relationship with radio host Nedu whose real name is Ani Chinedu Emmanuel.
Here are the highlights:
1. “I met Nedu in 2012 via a mutual friend during my NYSC. Got married in 2014.”
2. “The marriage was good in the beginning. It was in the second year that everything just went, you know.”
3. “I was totally ready to get married. I wasn’t matured enough to get married. But, eh, I got married and got my kids.”
4. “I can’t remember the date I got married. I have erased that out of my life.”
5. “This is not making Nedu look bad. We never went on vacation. He never gave me a massage or book me a session. I can’t remember the nice times we have together.”
6. “I didn’t speak up before now because I was trying to protect Nedu and my kids”.
7. “I tried to reach out to Nedu through celebrities.”
8. “I reported (the abuses) to the police once but when they saw that Nedu was a celebrity, the tables turned against me.”
9. “Nedu beat me up and went to the police station to allege that I was the one who assaulted him.”
10. “I was six months pregnant when Nedu returned from a journey and told me he was not doing again.”
11. “I’m not a social media person. I first learned Nedu was sleeping around via a conversation with one of my kids’ teachers.”
12. “Do you have a Bible? We all have Bibles on our phones. I can swear and tell you that from the day he walked into my life and till the day he left, I was never with any other man.”
13. “You see the DNA report that he posted? He was so petty that he took it to the school. He took it to the principal’s office and showed it to the principal. That’s why I said it wasn’t a secret.”
14. “School has resumed by my kids can’t go to school. They can’t until all of this is over.”
15. “I’m coming for the people who are dragging me on social media.”
16. “The paternity of my first son has never been a secret. Nedu went too low. He doesn’t deserve my son. The boy was never the reason why we separated. It wasn’t about the kids. We were done. We tried but it didn’t work out.”
17. “I can’t throw my child away. I am owning it. That is why I’ve decided to tell my story. I’ve made peace with God and that is what’s important to me.”
18. “I don’t want Nedu back. I never wanted him back. I can’t even stay in the same space with him. I don’t want him back. I’m doing this for my children.”
19. “I’m coming naked before the world. Judge me if you like. As for me, I’m doing what will make me sleep better at night.”
20. “My girls are in the village now. I want them to be fine. My boy will be fine.”
