Vigilante group confirms arrest of Anambra ‘terrorist’ who is nicknamed ‘The Python of Nimo’

The Abagana Central Security Vigilante has confirmed that its operatives arrested a wanted criminal popularly known as Eke Nimo, aka The Python of Nimo, in Nimo community.

Nimo is in the Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to a video seen by SaharaReporters on Monday morning, Eke Nimo was said to have been terrorising Nimo community and its environs, snatching people’s motorcycles and other valuables.

It was gathered that he had been on the wanted list of the vigilance group but had always evaded arrest as he usually escaped to his hideout. Unfortunately, luck ran out of him when the security men busted his hideout and caught him and the woman in whose place he hid.

Narrating how he was caught, one of the vigilantes, who did not mention his name, said, “This is the Eke Nimo (The Python of Nimo) who we have been looking for. He has been terrorising the area, snatching people’s motorcycles including the ones belonging to Fulanis.

“We came this morning where he is hiding in one woman’s house. When we came, he opened the house roof and tried to escape through the zinc but we blocked him and caught him. He has some charms that we found on him.

“He ran through the zinc and the zinc cut his hand but we shot at him but because he has bulletproof charms, the bullets did not penetrate into him, but we pursued after him until we caught him.

“The woman he was hiding in her place is the one feeding them. We recovered three motorcycles from them here this morning.

“We are the Abagana Central Security Vigilante. We are the ones that caught him.”
