10 Afrobeat Songs that Rocked Our 2025 Playlist

Afrobeat artists always spice up the year with megahit songs and 2025 was no different, from the beginning of the year to the end our faves weren’t letting up. There were big hitters, club bangers and crowd favorites.
Here’s a list of 10 songs on our 2025 charts.
1: With you – Davido ft Omah lay: Off his 5ive album, Davido partnered with Omah lay to create a crowd favorite with over 89 million Spotify streams and a record breaking experience on YouTube. This song had everyone jamming whenever it was played. Internationally it was even coined song of the summer. It has been nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
2: Joy Is Coming – Fido: A breakout anthem that reached #1 on the Boomplay charts and amassed over 87 million streams. The song had everyone manifesting joy into the beginning of their year. It really resonated with the fans.
3: Laho – Shallipopi: This track further solidified Shallipopi’s “Minister of Enjoyment” status, peaking at #2 on major streaming platforms and spawning a highly successful remix featuring Burna Boy. It gained traction through social media with a dance challenge and was also adopted as the official team Celebration song for the NBA.
4:Baby (Is It A Crime) – Rema
Part of Rema’s global dominance following his HEIS album, this track maintained high positions on the Official Nigeria Top 100 for much of the year and had fans singing word for word.
5:Who does that?” – FOLA ft. Bella Shmurda
FOLA emerged as a leading voice in 2025, with this single hitting #1 on Audiomack and maintaining strong rotation on Apple Music. The song was on everyone’s lips.
6:Kese (Dance) – Wizkid: The lead single from his Morayo era, this track dominated radio charts, reaching #1 in airplay and further establishing Wizkid as a top-streamed artist in 2025. Big Wiz doesn’t play when it comes to delivering good music.
7: Fun – Rema: Another hit track from Rema that brings the vibes whenever its on. It spent several weeks at #1 on the official charts, becoming a must in 2025 Afrobeats playlists.
8:Pity This Boy – ODUMODUBLVCK ft. Victony: This collaboration blended ODUMODUBLVCK’s street storytelling with Victony’s melodic voice, peaking at #1 and gaining significant traction. It was a constant Fan favourite.
9:Why Love – Asake: Following his Lungu Boy album, Mr Money returned to his Fuji roots with this “vibey” hit that topped the Apple Music Africa Now charts. Nothing less is expected from Mr money with the vibes.
10: Love -Burna Boy: This song dominated Apple Music Africa Charts in 2025 and was globally recognized as one of the best songs of 2025. It was nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
