Fuji music icon King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popular known as K1 De Ultimate, has explained why his tour of the United States of America is being delayed.
Contrary to insinuations by some, K1 De Ultimate told GoldMyne TV that he never cancelled his US tour.
The legendary singer said some members of team were having issues with their visas over which he said he had no control.
He also dismissed rumours that the tour was cancelled because someone broke the law.
“One thing many people forget is that maybe other people broke the law, I cannot break the law. K1 did not cancel US your,” he told GoldMyne TV on Monday night.
“We’ve had plans over the years to perform in the US. Of you’re coming through the front door, not the back door, you must obtain work permit. I don’t do back door.
“I’m Nigerian. I’m also a Canadian citizen. That citizenship means that I don’t need a visa to enter the US.
“But I don’t perform alone. I have a band. Some of my band members have been given visas and work permits. We’re waiting for the rest.
“We don’t joke with our fans because they’ve been with us for years. We are going to the United States,” K1 De Ultimate assured.
